Garra Works LLC
Terms of Use
Effective October 15, 2026 · Last updated October 15, 2026
These terms cover 2 things: the messages our systems send and receive, and the systems we build and run for contractors. The messaging section applies to anyone who gets a text from us. The rest applies to our clients. What we do with the information itself is in the Privacy Policy.
The Garra Works Owner Assistant SMS program
Garra Works operates a text messaging program for contractors and the people who work with them. This section is the whole of it.
Who it is for, and how you get on it
The program is for business use by people aged 18 and over in the United States. Enrollment is voluntary. You join by giving your mobile number to Garra Works or to the contractor you work with or buy from, by texting us first, or by asking to be included. You are never added to this program by buying something, and we do not take numbers from any list.
If you are a supervisor or a crew member, your employer gives us your number so the system can take your messages during a job. If you are a customer of a contractor, that contractor gives us your number so you can be told what is happening with your work. In both cases the business that gave us your number is responsible for having the right to do so.
What the messages are
Every message in this program is operational. There is no marketing in it.
- Receipts confirming what the system recorded from a message you sent
- Questions back, where something you sent was unclear or incomplete
- Job and schedule information, including what has been assigned and what has been closed
- Status updates to a contractor's customers about work in progress
- Invoice and payment reminders, sent on a contractor's behalf
- Service notices about the system itself
We do not send marketing or promotional messages through this program, for ourselves or for anyone else. We do not sell or rent your mobile number. Mobile information, text messaging originator opt-in data, and consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Frequency, and what it costs
Message frequency varies based on user requests and operational activity. A quiet week may bring none. A storm, or a day with several crews working, may bring a number of them, because the system answers what gets sent to it.
Message and data rates may apply. What you pay is between you and your mobile carrier, and Garra Works does not control it or receive any part of it.
How to stop, and how to get help
- Reply STOP to any message in the program and that number stops messaging you. We will send one message confirming it, and then nothing further
- Reply HELP for help, or write to us at info@garraworks.com or call (203) 290-1692
- You can also ask the contractor you work with to take you off, and they can stop messages to you at any time
- If you reply STOP and a message still reaches you, write to us and we will make it stop
Stopping the messages does not close anything else. Work carries on, your contractor can still reach you the way they always did, and nothing about your job changes because you left the program.
What we cannot promise about delivery
Messages travel over mobile carriers and over WhatsApp, and neither is ours. Delivery is not guaranteed. A message can be late, out of order, or lost, by a carrier, by a handset, by a signal that was not there, or by a filter we do not control. Garra Works is not liable for a message that does not arrive or arrives late.
Because of that, this program is not for anything urgent and must never be used for an emergency. If somebody is hurt or in danger, call 911. If a job needs a decision now, call the person who can make it. A system that files what you sent is not a system that is watching for you to need help.
The website
You may read and use garraworks.com for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to break into it, scrape it at a rate that interferes with it, probe its security, or use it to send anything unlawful. The words, pictures, drawings and code on this site belong to Garra Works. Reading, quoting and linking are fine. Republishing it as your own is not.
The site says what our systems do and what they cost to start. It is not an offer, a quote, or a contract, and nothing on it is legal, financial, or professional advice.
The systems we build
Everything in this part applies to a client, which means a business that has a written agreement with us. Where that written agreement and this page disagree, the written agreement wins.
What we do
We build a system, we run it, and we connect it to tools the client already pays for. The scope of any build is whatever the written agreement says, and nothing else. We do not become the system of record. The labor record lands in the client's payroll or job management software, the invoice lives in their accounting software, and the customer sits in their own files.
What the client is responsible for
- Having the right to give us the information they give us, including numbers, names and photographs of their own workers and customers
- Collecting consent from workers before a shift, in a language the worker actually reads, where the system takes photographs or messages from them
- Telling their customers that they will be messaged about their work
- Keeping their own credentials and accounts secure, and telling us promptly if that changes
- Checking what the system produces before it is relied on for pay or for billing
- Honoring a request to stop messaging somebody, and telling us so we can stop it at our end
The system proposes and a person decides. Our systems read messages, pull out facts, and draft replies, and they are wrong sometimes. Nothing in them approves pay, writes to payroll on its own authority, or makes a decision about a person. A record is evidence for somebody to weigh, and the client stays responsible for what they do with it.
Who owns what
The client's information is the client's. We hold it to run the system and for no other purpose, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train any model. When an engagement ends we return or delete it on the client's instruction, subject to any legal requirement to keep records.
The software, the methods and the components we build with are ours, including anything we improve while doing the work. A client gets the right to use their system for as long as the agreement runs. Where we have built something specific to a client, the written agreement says who owns it, and that clause is the one that governs.
Fees
Fees, deposits and what they cover are in the written agreement. Unless it says otherwise, invoices are due within 30 days, and work can be paused on an account that is overdue. The first call and the visit cost nothing, and nothing said on either one is a bill.
Starting and stopping
There is no term and no lock-in. Either side can end an engagement with 30 days of written notice. Work already delivered is payable. We can suspend a system immediately where it is being used unlawfully, where it is putting somebody's information at risk, or where an account is seriously overdue, and we will say why.
What we do not promise
We do not promise the systems are uninterrupted or error free, and we do not promise a particular business result. They depend on tools we do not own, including mobile carriers, WhatsApp, AI providers, and whatever software the client already runs, and any of those can change or fail. Except where the law says otherwise, the systems are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind.
Liability
Neither side is liable to the other for lost profits, lost business, or indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees the client paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for willful misconduct, or for anything else the law does not permit to be limited.
A client indemnifies Garra Works against claims arising from information they gave us that they did not have the right to give, from messages sent to people who did not agree to receive them, and from their own unlawful use of a system.
The rest
Where this is governed
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts sitting in Connecticut, and both sides agree to that.
Changes
If we change these terms we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. Where a change is significant we will tell our clients directly. Continuing to use the systems, or staying in the messaging program, after a change means the new version applies.
If part of this does not hold
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing something straight away does not mean we have given it up.
